BERMOCOLL
M is a Methyl
Ethyl Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose (MEHEC), the only
one of its kind on the market today. The number
of methyl groups correspond closely to those found
on MHPC or MHEC grades currently available. Additionally,
a low amount of ethyl substitution is present
on the molecule. This uniqueness of the BERMOCOLL
M molecule makes it an ideally suitable product
for Tile Adhesives as well as other applications
where good workability and high strength are needed.
The
grade available with us is: BERMOCOLL M 30
with a viscosity of 3000 ± 500 mPa.s (cP) at 1%
conc at 200C (Brookfield LV)

Bermocoll
M - provides More Workability with More Strength:
Bermocoll M is a unique product specifically
developed for cement based tile adhesives and it gives
extraordinary properties to the mortar. It provides
the best balance of the two properties - workability
and strength in tile adhesives. Although specially developed
for cement based tile adhesives and mosaic adhesives,
BERMOCOLL M is also suitable for applications
such as manually applied plasters, skim coats and joint
compounds.

Water
Retention:
Bermocoll M strongly increases the water retention
capacity of mortars. The rapid uptake of water by the absorbent
substrate is inhibited, thereby ensuring that sufficient water
is retained for uniform setting and hardening.
Better
Consistency, Workability And Stability:
Thanks to its excellent rheological properties, BERMOCOLL
M improves consistency, workability and stability in mortars.
Prolonged
Open Time:
The high water retention capacity of BERMOCOLL M prolongs
the open time. Higher dosage and higher viscosity of BERMOCOLL
M give the longest open time and best adjustability capacities
in mortars.
Improved
Adhesion:
BERMOCOLL M improves mortar's adhesion to most materials.
The strong adhesion effect between the mortar/tile and substrate
is a result of the improved consistency and water retaining
capacity. It is also possible to achieve very high mortar
strength under various conditions, dry or wet. A higher dose
of BERMOCOLL M generally improves adhesion and strength.
Improved
Properties:
Higher yield, improved cohesion and improved sagging resistance
can be achieved with modified grades of BERMOCOLL M.
Generally these have higher water demand, thereby giving greater
bulk to the wet mortar and ultimately greater coverage. They
also improve cohesion and reduce sagging and sliding of plasters
and mortars, e.g. in vertical tiling.
